Buenos Aires

Just a perfect day
You made me forget myself
I thought I was someone else
Someone good

Oh, it's such a perfect day
I'm glad I spent it with you
Oh, such a perfect day
You just keep me hanging on
You just keep me hanging on

We went out this morning, and bought some groceries at the store. It is hard to cook with just a microwave, but I am pretty good at figuring things out.

We went out and bought our tickets for the ferry to Uruguay and then walked down through parks and city streets to the docks area, where there was line ups of trucks waiting to load up. Aodhan loves looking at trucks. We came across a little train museum, with train artifacts and model trains. Aodhan loved it. Right beside it there was some interesting metal sculptures, and we followed it back to an interesting art space. It was a little weird walking to it, because it looked like a place homeless people lived. But it was great. We paid a few pesos to go inside, where people had their painting spaces. I’m sure this is not a regular tourist destination.

We walked back up to the cemetery, which is a famous tourist destination in Buenos Aires. It was pretty cool, lots of little tiny cathedral-like buildings with coffins inside. Ok, it was a little creepy too. I’m not a big cemetery person. Many of the buildings had crypts below with another 8 or 10 coffins below.

Afterwards we walked back across town to our hotel, and had dinner in a nice little restaurant nearby. We of course had steak, and it was delicious.

Av. 9 De Julio - The widest street in the World.

Impressive work! With every single detail. Thanks for sharing it with us Elaine! Planing a trip next month for B.A. I want to ask you that; Is there any conveyance available at the train station there or i have to opt for public transportation? As i think that hiring a car would be more hassle free. Had bookmark this website as a recommendation from a travel blog earlier. Need more suggestions on this.
